Peter talks about what happened:

A lot of people have probably seen this already, but this is for Mom: Peter’s recount of his arrest, this time in audio format. In it, he describes “the summer I’ll never take for granted,” and what it’s like to survive a panic attack in prison.

  1. Thank you, Maddy. I’m so glad you sent this. It was tough to listen to his panic attack experience. I hope he doesn’t have a repeat. I listened with care when he talked about the third set of people resonding to his experience. He was so puzzled by those who fully understand that the cops ARE like wild animals. You better not talk too fast or move too fast. Yes, it’s unjust. But it’s not cowardly to obey, it’s just common sense. Well, at least for someone who grew up in L.A. At the time we left, if you were stopped by LAPD your life was in danger..period. Every young person learning to drive was drilled to NEVER remove your hands from the steering wheel unless ordered.
I’m so glad we got out of there.
